Agroligadas in Forbes: Movement takes place in the list “50 Women’s Groups in Brazilian Agribusiness

Groups were published on the International Day of Rural Women and have names from all over the country

In an unprecedented survey, Forbes Agro presented the list of women agribusiness groups operating in the country. In total, there are 50 organized groups, most of them created in the last 4 years.

For the coordinator of Forbes Agro Woman, Helen Jacintho, the current women’s groups are true agro meetings. “Regardless of the area of expertise, there are rich exchanges of experiences, clarification of doubts and welcoming and, above all, fellowship,” she says.

Agribusiness women’s groups are usually not a single-voice movement, but they perfectly fulfill the function of host communities. The profiles of these groups that make up the list made by Forbes, “50 Groups of Women in Agribusiness Brazil”, include entrepreneurs from the agribusiness and family business, cooperative women, agronomists, veterinarians, zootechnicians, technicians, successors, liberal professionals, and academics, among others. The productive chains of agriculture and livestock are the most diverse, including many professionals and players in the areas.

The women who participate in the groups are usually driven by common demands, making a sense of belonging to a single group a reality. This is due to the professional diversity and the demands for improvement in their workplaces, through instruction and instrumentalization to grow in their fields. Most of the agendas raised in discussions and events promoted by these women’s groups are holistic in nature, thinking about leadership, protagonism, gender equity, respect for diversity, and the search for a society of well-being for future generations. In the case of the Agroligadas, we have also included the goal of promoting educational actions, which take knowledge from the countryside forward, reaching the city.

Being part of a group of women in agribusiness is something that motivates the professionals to go forward, taking their knowledge and experiences to the generations to come.
