Bahia Chapter begins educational actions of the Agroligadas Movement in the Northeast

Event brought together children who got to know about the cotton crop and its sub-products up close

Starting the actions promoted by the Agroligadas’s Core in Bahia, the first educational event in the region took place last Friday, October 21st. In partnership with the De Mãos Dadas Project, the Agroligadas took 70 children to the premises of Abapa (Bahia Association of Cotton Producers), in Correntina – BA.

At the event, the women of the core received the children for educational moments where they all had contact with the cotton culture through a comic book – with which they were presented – and a dynamic and fun puzzle, where they could discover some of the fiber’s byproducts. Playful games like these are important to attract the children’s attention in an interesting way that has something to add to their education and knowledge.

With the help of the De Mãos Dadas Project and Ciaseeds, which was also part of the partnership, the children got to know the cotton mill, where they learned about cotton processing. At the end of the meetings, which took place in the morning and afternoon, the children were presented with a gift and, in the evening, their families could also get to know a little of what they had seen during the day.

We leave our special thanks to the Agroligadas that participated in the action and also to the partners that helped us make this action possible, such as Ciaseeds, Abapa, and Grupo Nossa.

We are very happy with the beginning of another active Core that defends the agro as we do. We are grateful to all the Agroligadas who accompany our purpose day after day, taking agro further, beyond the gates.
