Agroligadas program on Metrópole FM Radio Cuiabá comes to an end after 2 and a half years of success

The Movement’s trajectory counted on the help of the radio, the oldest means of communication in the country and still heard by thousands of Brazilians

On the air since January 28, 2020, the Agroligadas program was born from the union of two passions: Radioman Vanderlei Munhoz for radio, and Agroligadas for its mission – to be a bridge between the countryside and society, through Education and Communication actions.

Vanderlei Munhoz, graduate broadcaster and General Director of Radio Metrópole FM Cuiabá had already interviewed the President and Idealizer of the Agroligadas Movement, Geni Schenkel, in his 2019 Bom Dia Metrópole Program. Soon after, during an event in Lucas do Rio Verde/MT he met the Movement’s Vice-President, Melissa Freitas.

With the repositioning of Radio Metrópole FM Cuiabá as “A Rádio Saudade” (The Longing Radio), becoming a vintage radio station, the programming started to be presented mixing quality music and serious radio journalism committed to the population’s wishes. Contact with the Agroligadas was resumed, and so the Program was born, with the intention of uniting the countryside and the city. Thus, on January 28, 2020 the Agroligadas Program – Connecting the Countryside and the City – premiered on Radio Metrópole FM Cuiabá. It is presented in most episodes by Eloisa Hage and Melissa Freitas, and always with the participation of other women from the Movement.

After more than 2 years of programs aired religiously on Tuesdays, always at noon, this cycle will be closed. The Agroligadas program comes to an end, after many chats full of information, current events, curiosities, and news about agribusiness. In 2020, 49 programs were aired; in 2021, 52 episodes, and in 2022, we reached the 35 mark, totaling 136 live broadcasts.

The mission of the project has always been to bring together and build bridges through communication from the countryside to the city, and we are sure that we have succeeded in playing this role beautifully.

For the project’s radio coordinator, Eloisa Haje, the Agroligadas Program was also an opportunity to grow as a person and in her leadership skills. “I thank everyone who has been part of our journey on this incredible project and that has transformed us in a very intense way. We will surely remember this incredible period developing the program and talking to our audience on a weekly basis,” she said.

“The Agroligadas Program was a gift from God to us. The idea came up by chance, from the contact we had with Munhoz, director of the radio station. We were thrilled with the opportunity, and have remained so until today, in all the programs we broadcast. We were able to reach great personalities in agribusiness and bring them to be with us, talking to our public. Our program has become a tool that helps us unite the countryside and the city”, said Melissa Freitas, Vice President of the Agroligadas Movement.

The program on the radio station Metrópole FM Cuiabá was a process that yielded many learnings for all the women members of the movement. For Geni Schenkel, President of the Agroligadas, the feeling is also one of gratitude. “There were so many learning experiences, so many glorious moments. I remember every detail of the programs I participated in, important people passed by here, and I can only thank them for their trust and for seeing the potential that existed within all of us Agroligadas who passed by the radio. How lucky we were to have Munhoz by our side, welcoming us, teaching without fear, giving the face of a true professional as he is. I will be eternally grateful for all the investment and faith in us from the Agroligadas Movement. he concluded.

The Program at Radio Metrópole FM Cuiabá has come to an end, but we finish this cycle happy for the recognition of a competent job, which we learned to do with all the team that supported us.
