National Clean Field Day: the importance of the date that allows us to rethink sustainability

We all know that sustainability in agribusiness is important, but it is essential that we talk about it so that more and more people know about it too!

The National Day of Campo Limpo was created by inpEV in order to recognize the participation of the different agents (farmers, resale channels and cooperatives, manufacturing industry and government) of the reverse logistics of empty crop protection packages in Brazil and to celebrate the results achieved with their joint action.

To mark the date, give more visibility to the theme, and reinforce the community’s awareness, the Institute promotes a series of events every year. These are community actions, competitions in schools, lectures in universities, and meetings with local authorities, among other initiatives, carried out around the receiving units, which stimulate the local community to reflect about the importance of environmental conservation and the role they can play in this effort.

Celebration activities include:

  • Open Doors: day of public visitation to the empty containers reception centers, which takes place simultaneously in all the centers. The objective is to present information about the functioning of the unit and its role in the Campo Limpo System.
  • DNCL University: a circuit of lectures, workshops, and activities in universities and technical schools on subjects related to environmental conservation and the System’s activities.
  • DNCL Field Day: an initiative aimed at farmers with a commemorative character.
  • Community Action: aims to promote environmental improvements in the municipality or community through activities such as cleaning or maintenance of public squares or streets, cleaning river banks, planting a garden in a public place, setting up a seedling nursery, and information about selective collection in the municipality, among others.
  • DNCL Solemnity: holding events to honor or receive authorities.

It is very important that companies and farms, entities directly linked to agribusiness and that care for the environment, can also spread the word about the date and make people in the environment even more aware of the need to dispose of the packaging of the products used in farming with awareness.

Our mission, as agribusiness promoters, is to make more and more people aware and sustainably deal with the alternatives that technology gives us. Responsible disposal is one of them!
