Agroligadas from Sinop invite you to Norte Show Kids

The event starts tomorrow, the 19th, and counts on a special action developed by the Movement with a focus on 4th grade children

This Tuesday, April 19th, another edition of the Norte Show will start in Sinop (MT), and this time, the core Agroligadas will have a very special partnership with the event.

Aiming at generating knowledge, arousing interest, and bringing the productive sector closer to the school community, the partnership will allow approximately 2 thousand children to visit the stands, technological showcases, and machinery and animal exhibits. The action is aimed at students who are enrolled and attending the 4th year of elementary school and is supported by the Mato Grosso Association of Soybean and Corn Producers (Aprosoja – MT) and the National Rural Learning Service (Senar – MT).

The Sinop branch of the Agroligadas is very active and engaged, and its coordinator, Edenize Perin, says that the Norte Show Kids project, as the action is called, is aimed at students from public and private schools, regardless of age. The idea of the project is precisely to make children’s knowledge of up-to-date materials about the agro accessible, already thinking about a future change in society regarding the productive sector. Education begins in children, so it is very important to explain the details to them from an early age.

“We hope that, at the end of the activities, the children will have been able to understand what the main products of the region are, the existing technologies, and the sustainability that is very strong in agribusiness today. We want to be able to generate a more updated knowledge, made by people who live the agribusiness routine, different from the learning that happens inside the school walls, which is very much based on theory”, says Edezine. For her – and indeed for all Agroligadas – “we must cultivate today the vision that the world will have of AGRO in the distant future.

To organize the visitation, the stands will be selected by the organizing team and each stop will be oriented to the students, who were chosen because they are still younger. The idea is that, throughout the project, more children of different ages will participate, giving them also the opportunity to see AGRO happening up close.

“Our purpose is to bring information about the fair, generate knowledge and a sense of belonging through guided tours of the exhibitors. We are taking great and important care with the preparation of the places that will be visited by children, so that the information is available in a language that they can understand”, explained Edenize.

In addition to the visitation that will take place throughout the duration of the Norte Show, the children will receive snacks and educational materials, which can be taken home in order to reaffirm the information viewed regarding agribusiness.

For Edenize, “the importance of projects like this is precisely to communicate agribusiness outside the gates. This is the mission of Agroligadas and Norte Show Kids will be a great opportunity to exercise our mission as we always do, but this time, for the children who will be part of our future”, concluded the core coordinator.
